It´s Brunch Time

Cuando vi esta falda fue amor a primera vista. Ya sabéis cuanto me gustan las faldas lápiz, me parecen muy femeninas y creo que resaltan mucho las curvas de la mujer (podéis ver más outfits de este tipo aquí y aquí). Esta falda me pareció súper original por su estampado tipo cómic y sus tonos pastel. Quería que la falda se llevara todo el protagonismo así que opté por combinarla con una blusa blanca y mis sandalias favoritas. De esta guisa me fui a tomar un brunch en una de las terrazas de la Avenida Italia. Me encanta pasar horas desayunando los domingos y este lugar es perfecto para eso.

When I saw this skirt it was love at first sight. As you already know I love pencil skirts, I think they´re very feminine and they emphasize the curves we women have (you can see more of this kind of outfits here and here). This skirt seemed super original because of the comic print and pastel colours. I wanted the skirt to take center stage so I decided to combine it with a white blouse and my favourite sandals. In this manner I went to have brunch at one of the terraces of Avenida Italia. I love spending hours on Sunday´s breakfast and this place is perfect for that.

Grey Scale

Para variar un poco de los outfits llenos de color a los que os tengo acotumbrados, hoy os traigo un look en tonos neutros. Estos pantalones de piel realmente me están sacando de más de un apuro esta temporada, y encima son comodísimos (podéis ver otro outfit con ellos pinchando aquí). Me parece una prenda súper combinable y perfecta para estos días de clima descontrolado que estamos teniendo en Santiago. Un besazo.

Hi everyone! Today, I bring you an outfit in a black and white palette. I´ve been endlessly searching for a pair of leather pants for a while now. So when I spotted these ones I knew I finally found what I was looking for. I love the way they fit and feel. They are so comfy and look great with just about anything (you can see them in another outfit clicking here). So cozy yet chic at the same time! x.o.x.o.

Pink pants

Hoy os traigo un outfit súper sencillo en tonos pastel que elegí para ir a pasear por la ciudad estos días. Hemos estado prácticamente toda la semana de fiesta aquí en Chile pues han sido las fiestas patrias, y la gente se reúne para hacer asados en familia o con amigos y bailar Cueca en las fondas. Hi everyone! Here´s a super simple outfit in pastel colors I chose to walk around the city these days. We spent almost the entire week on holidays here in Chile. It´s been National holidays, and people gather around barbecues with family or friends and dance Cueca in the inns. I bring you some pictures. Have a happy week!

Brush stroke jeans

El fin de semana pasado el tiempo estuvo espectacular así que decidí ir a almorzar con unos amigos a un restaurante peruano aquí en Santiago y os traigo un post para enseñaros los platos típicos que probamos. Para los que no lo sepáis la gastronomía peruana es una de las más ricas y variadas del mundo así que aprovechamos y pedimos muchos platos, para poder probar diferentes sabores. Entre las fotos que os enseño hoy están el Ají de gallina (pollo y arroz en una salsa de ají exquisita), la Causa limeña (a base de papas y aguacate), el Tiradito dúo (pescado crudo que se corta como el sashimi japonés y se sirve con doble salsa) y la Corona de camarones. Como outfit os traigo algo sencillo donde la pieza principal serían estos pantalones con estampado artístico (que ya pudisteis ver aquí). Espero que os guste el post, un besazo.

Last weekend the weather was spectacular so I decided to spend the day outside. I went to have lunch with some friends to a Peruvian restaurant here in Santiago and wanted to share a few pics of you the dishes we tried. For those who don´t know it yet, Peruvian cuisine is one of the richest and most varied in the world so we took advantage and ordered many dishes to try different flavors. Among today´s pics are the Ají de gallina (chicken and rice in a delicious chili sauce), Causa Limeña (with potatoes and avocado), Tiradito duo (raw fish cut like Japanese sashimi and served under double sauce) and Corona de camarones (shrimp corona). Today´s outfit is something simple: the main piece are these colorful jeans (which you could also see here). Hope you enjoyed my post! Lots of love!

Lastarria neighbourhood

¿Qué tal la semana? Hoy os traigo un outfit sencillo y monocromático que llevé hace unos días para pasear por el barrio de Lastarria. El sol se dejó ver un poquito y aproveché para dejar el abrigo en el armario y sacar a pasear el trench, mucho más cómodo para estas temperaturas. Las fotos que os dejo son del barrio, uno de mis barrios favoritos de la ciudad.

Hi everyone! How was your week? Today I´m back with a simple yet cool outfit that I wore a few days ago for going out in the afterrnoon. Taking advantage of the nice weather, I decided to leave the coat in the closet and exchanged it for a trench, much more comfortable for these temperatures. Hace unas semanas paseando por la ciudad topamos con un grupo de personas que estaban bailando en la calle. Un amigo nos contó que se trataba de una danza boliviana. Realizan una especie de coreografía simulando un enfrentamiento físico, todo acompañado con música de tambores y mucho colorido. Me volví loca haciendo fotos y quería mostrároslo en un post. Como acompañamiento os traigo un look muy simple, pero que a mí me encanta. Los jeans en verde hierba creo que son de mis favoritos. A few weeks ago walking around the city we ran into a group of people who were dancing in the street. A friend told us that it was a Bolivian dance. They perform a kind of choreography simulating a physical confrontation. I went crazy taking photos and wanted to show it to you in a post. As an accompaniment I show you a simple outfit, but I love it. Boil green jeans which I think are one of my favourites. Enjoy the post and thank you for all your comments.

Leather leggings

Tras un par de añitos a la caza y captura de los pantalones de cuero perfectos para mí, por fin di con los míos. Los elegidos salieron de TopShop, claro, y es que después de ver la calidad de sus prendas (podéis ver el post aquí) creo que me voy a hacer una asidua de sus productos. Son súper cómodos, tan tan cómodos que tienes la sensación de no llevar nada. Este fue mi look elegido para dar una vuelta por la ciudad y descubrir el mercado de Santa Lucía.

After a couple of years hunting for the perfect leather pants I finally them. The chosen ones came from TopShop, of course. After checking out the quality of their clothes (you can see the post here) I think I'm going to be a regular of their products. The pants are super comfortable, so so comfy that you get the feeling of not wearing anything. This was the look I chose to walk around the city and discover the market of Santa Lucia.

Graffiti walls

Este fin de semana estuve paseando por el barrio Brasil, uno de mis barrios favoritos de Santiago hasta el momento. Calles plasmadas con muchísima personalidad y felicidad gracias a sus fachadas coloristas. Elegí un look súper cómodo para ir a recorrer sus lugares, y calentito, porque, definitivamente, el invierno ha llegado a Santiago. Que tengáis una estupenda semana!

Yesterday I went for a walk around the "Brasil" neighbourhood, one of my favourites in Santiago so far. The streets capture the personality and happiness of the place with its colorful facades. I chose a comfortable and warm look because, finally, winter has arrived to Santiago. Have a great week folks!

Walking around the Paris-Londres neighbourhood

Esta vez le tocó el turno al barrio Paris-Londres, un experimento arquitectónico llevado a cabo a principios del siglo XX donde las calles se muestran con marcado estilo europeo. Dedicamos la mañana a pasear por sus calles, un reducto súper tranquilo en pleno centro de Santiago. La nostalgia en este caso me inspiró a postear en blanco y negro estas fotos, espero que os guste.

It was time for the Paris-Londres neighbourhood, an architectonic experiment, built at the beginning of the XX century, where all the streets show up with an European style. We dedicated the morning to walk around those streets, a super quite place located in downtown Santiago. In this case, homesickness inspired me to post these photos in black and white. Hope you like it.

 

Zebra wall

Esta es una de las tantas fachadas curiosas de la Avenida Italia. Una de mis calles favoritas de Santiago para pasar el domingo en compañía de buenos amigos. La mejor forma de empezar el día fue con este estupendo brunch, donde disfrutamos de un desayuno de lo mas completito, entre lo que yo destacaría la tortilla de tomate y albahaca, un plato extraño para mí, pero que desde ese día se ha convertido en un must entre mis recetas de cocina.

This is one of many curious facades of Avenida Italia. One of my favorite streets in Santiago to spend Sunday in the company of good friends. The best way to start the day was with this wonderful brunch, where we enjoyed a full and delicious breakfast . I would emphasize the tomato-basil tortilla, a new recipe for me, but since that day it has become a must in my cookbook.

My first Top Shop-ping

Cuando llegamos al barrio de Yungay no podía creer que aun estuviésemos en Santiago. Y es que la arquitectura y el ambiente que se respira es distinto. Aun así, poca gente lo conoce, y es un lugar que os recomiendo a todo el que visite la ciudad (especialmente la calle Adriana Cousiño).

Me veis con un total look de Top Shop (era uno de esos días que te paseas por el centro comercial con la idea fija en tu cabeza de no comprar nada, y claro, al final quería llevarme la tienda...) Hacía un día estupendo, así que decidí olvidarme del otoño por un día. Espero que os guste.

When we arrived at Yungay neighbourhood I couldn´t believe we were still in Santiago. The architecture and the entire atmosphere felt different. However, few people know about it, and it´s a place I would recommend to anyone visiting the city (especially the street Adriana Cousiño).
I´m wearing a total look from Top Shop. I went to the mal with the idea fixed in my head to not buy anything, but of course, I could´t resist. The day was so sunny that I decided to forget it´s autumn for a day. Hope you like it.

To market, to market

En nuestro camino hacia el parque para celebrar un asado con los amigos (una de las tradiciones chilenas favoritas hasta el momento: buena comida, nuevos amigos, relax al aire libre... ¿que mas podemos pedir?) encontramos un mercado de fruta y verdura local ambulante. Decidí pasar a ver lo se cocía por allí y de paso hacer algunas fotos. Puestos con todos los colores posibles muy al estilo mediterráneo, me sentí como en casa. This weekend some friends were holding a barbecue at the park, one of my favourite Chilean traditions I´ve encountered so far. There you can find good food, new friends, a relaxing outdoor ... what more can we ask for?  On our way there, we passed through a local market and I decided to go and see what it was about and used the opportunity to take some pictures.  It was full with stands selling fruits, vegetables and spices... all very Mediterranean style, it was like being back at home. Japanese Garden

Me encanta todo lo que tenga que ver con Japón, la comida, las costumbres, las ciudades... así que cuando me enteré de que en Santiago existía un jardín japonés no dudé ni un segundo en ir a visitarlo. Un espacio reducido y colorista con Santiago y la cordillera como telón de fondo.

Elegí un look súper sencillo y cómodo, ya que íbamos a estar andando por el Cerro, entre árboles y plantas y, como siempre hago en estos casos, tiré de jeans. Espero que os guste. Un beso y gracias por vuestros comentarios!

 

I love everything Japan-related with a passion! Food, customs, cities... So when I found out there was a Japanese garden here in Santiago I didn´t hesitate for a second and went to visit it. It´s a small but colorful space with the skyline of Santiago and the mountains on the background.
For the occasion I selected a very simple and comfortable look because we´d be walking down the hill, among trees and bushes so, as I always do in these cases, I chose jeans. Hope you like it. Thank you for your comments! X.O.X.O.

Autumn

Estos días las calles de Santiago se han convertido en una alfombra natural. Todos los colores del otoño embellecen las aceras de la ciudad y he querido compartirlo con vosotr@s. Mi plan para este fin de semana: asado (barbacoa) con amigos en el parque y un paseo por el mercadillo de artesanía, donde se pueden encontrar todos los colores del universo (os imaginaréis lo feliz que fui allí). ¡Pasad una buena semana!

These days the streets of Santiago have become a natural carpet. All fall colors adorn the sidewalks of the city and I wanted to share it with you all. My plans for this weekend: barbecue with friends in the park and a stroll through the handicraft market where you can find all the colors of the universe (you can imagine how happy I was there).Have a good week!

I´m back

Hola a tod@s!

Tras un montón de meses sin publicar, hoy por fin arranco con una nueva etapa en el blog. En ella quiero ir enseñándoos outfits, viajes, comidas y todo lo que se me ocurra. Las que me seguís desde hace tiempo sabéis que estuve planteándome empezar una vida nueva en algún otro lugar del mundo. Pues bien, finalmente el lugar elegido fue Santiago de Chile. Espero que os guste el nuevo estilo del blog.

El pasado fin de semana estuve con unos amigos desayunando en un lugar encantador llamado Cafe Rendebu. Hacía un día estupendo así que aprovechamos para tomar unas tostadas al solecito y después nos animamos a almorzar en Le Jardin. Este espacio es algo espectacular, construido con materiales reciclados (incluyendo hasta los cubiertos), se trata de un espacio ambulante lleno de colorido y personalidad. Os dejo algunas fotitos para que lo disfrutéis conmigo. Un besazo.

After a lot of months without posting, I finally tackle a new phase. I want to show you my outfits, travels, meals and all I can think of. Those who have been following me a long time know that I was thinking about starting a new life somewhere else in the world. Well, finally the place was Santiago de Chile. I hope you like the new style of the blog.

This past weekend I was with some friends having breakfast at a lovely place called Cafe Rendebu. It was a beautiful day so we took advantage to take a little sun and later we had lunch at Le Jardin. This space is spectacular, built from recycled materials (including even silverware), it is a colorful itinerant space and with lot of personality. Here some pics for you to enjoy with me. x.o.x.o.
