Tulip mania

Mil besos

At the airport

Mil besos

You always ask me what I wear for a flight when I post about my travels.. Obliviously I forget about high heels or complicated shoes, and I always choose leggings or basic comfy pants to make the flight as bearable as possible (especially on long flights). As for the top garment, it depends on the climatic difference between the place of origin and the destination. If the weather in both is similar, I always opt for a blouse and some warm clothing that can take off or put on easily during the trip. And I always leave space in the suitcase to put the coat in once I enter the airport because I hate to carry a lot of things. As for travel accessories, I always select my basics (I already wrote a post on the subject, which you can read here). Kisses

Safari Photo Diary (Part I)

KARIBU

----------------------

Hi everyone. I am very excited about today´s post, because it´s about a trip we´ve wanted to do for years. Finally, this summer, the dream came true.

I love nature and animals. Since I was a child I´ve spent hours and hours in front of a television watching documentaries about African wildlife. I love the colorful tribes and their curious way of life, and I´m very attracted by that strange "rural glamor" Out of Africa style. So this year we finally decided to travel to Kenya.

Do you know what people say about having too high expectations of a place then the place may disappoint you? Well, that didn´t happened to us at all. And I set the bar very, very high. But now I can tell you that phrase that I read hundreds of times on other blogs: it´s a journey that changes your perspective, totally different from any other type of trip you can imagine.

The beauty of its natural reserves. The adeventure to go looking for animals in the undergrowth. The surprise of suddenly finding a corpse perched at the top of a tree and you know that a leopard has to be near (with the feeling of anguish and excitement that you feel). The wonderful experience of seeing lion cubs so close to us, while their mother took a nap a few meters away... They´re experiences that will be etched in my memory all my life.

We ended up in Zanzibar, a paradise island in the Indian ocean, where we could rest and relax from the hustle of the safari (because that's true, if you want to see many animals and get the most of it, you definitely will not have much time to rest).

I don´t want to tell you more for now because I will be posting more about the trip. I hope you like the photos. KARIBU

Morocco Photo Diary (Part I)

I can finally share some pictures of my holidays. This year´s destination was northern Morocco. we drove through northern Morocco. We rented a car and drove around the cities of Tangier, Fez and Meknes, plus a lovely blue town called Chaouen which I´ve wanted to visit for years. To me, the charm of Morocco lies in its corners full of tiles, the variety of carpet shops (within these shops you feel haunted, and it was one of the most special places in the trip to me) and the aridity of its landscape. Of course, we still have much to visit of Morocco on future trips. This was my first time in Africa and I´m already looking forward to coming back. Here are some pictures from the trip, but know that you can find more details on my Pinterest profile (my travel photo diaries). Hope you like the pictures!

South of Spain Photo Diary (part II)

Spring is coming and it brings happiness with it to the south of Spain. Here, we aren´t used to cold, but rather to stifling heat, chatting shouting, speaking and laughing loudly and having dinner at 11 pm. Of course, every place has its peculiarities, and there are no better places than others, it depends on our own perception. However, at this time of the year I love living here, a small coastal town where you can go to the beach every day and people walk unhurriedly. I want to take this opportunity to show you some photos and the outfit of today, where pastel colors are mixed to definitely say goodbye to winter.

Italy Photo Diary (Part I)

I can finally show you some pictures of my holidays. This year we drove through northern Italy. We toured Liguria coast, Florence, Lake Como, Turin, Lake Maggiore, etc. My favourite part (you'll see it´s the area with more pictures taken) was, undoubtedly, Cinque Terre. Its a beautiful place with villages perched along steep hills. Colourful villages, small coves of transparent water, Italian food and all the charm of a small town. My favourite view: the one you see of the 5 villages from the sea. It´s an area of Italy I didn´t know and I liked it very much. I´ll post more pictures in future posts; I´ll take this opportunity to remind you that if you want to see a more specific description of the pictures you can go through my profile on Pinterest. Hope you like the pictures!

South of Spain Photo Diary (part I)

Hola a tod@s!

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to show you a special post. I´ve been collecting images of my trips around Andalusia and, although I still have much to photograph, I wanted to start showing you some pictures of my trips. For those who live out of Spain I would love to show you my region and this way you can know it better. For me, Andalusia is potted geraniums, white villages and tapas, many tapas. As always, I hope you enjoy the photos :)
