Italy Photo Diary (Part I)

Por fin puedo enseñaros las fotos de mis vacaciones, este año tocaba el norte de Italia. Hemos recorrido la costa de Liguria, Florencia, el lago Como, Turín, lago Maggiore... Mi parte favorita (ya veréis que es la zona que más fotos se ha llevado esta vez) ha sido sin duda las Cinque Terre. Siento debilidad por los pueblecitos coloristas y también por los que se hacinan en pendientes pronunciadas. La región de las Cinque Terre tiene todo esto y mucho más: pequeñas calitas de agua transparente, comida italiana y todo el encanto de pueblecito pequeño. Mi visión favorita: la perspectiva de los 5 pueblecitos desde el mar. Es una zona de Italia que desconocía y me ha gustado muchísimo. Ya os enseñaré más imágenes en próximos posts; aprovecho para recordaros que si queréis ver una descripción más concreta de dónde están tomadas las fotos os podéis pasar por mi perfil en Pinterest. Espero que os gusten las fotos! 

I can finally show you some pictures of my holidays. This year we drove through northern Italy. We toured Liguria coast, Florence, Lake Como, Turin, Lake Maggiore, etc. My favourite part (you'll see it´s the area with more pictures taken) was, undoubtedly, Cinque Terre. Its a beautiful place with villages perched along steep hills. Colourful villages, small coves of transparent water, Italian food and all the charm of a small town. My favourite view: the one you see of the 5 villages from the sea. It´s an area of Italy I didn´t know and I liked it very much. I´ll post more pictures in future posts; I´ll take this opportunity to remind you that if you want to see a more specific description of the pictures you can go through my profile on Pinterest. Bali Photo Diary (Part III)

Conocida como la isla de los dioses, Bali es el lugar perfecto para ir de vacaciones. Siempre me ha parecido que la vida en una isla es muy diferente al continente, y realmente en Bali se puede disfrutar esta sensación. Parece que todo fluya más lento y armonioso, o será la cultura asiática lo que me produce esta sensación de paz, pero realmente Bali es un lugar genial para escapar del ajetreo. Espero que os gusten las fotos.

Dubbed as the Island of the Gods, Bali is the perfect place to go for holidays. It´s always seemed to me that life in an island is very different to the mainland, and you can really enjoy this feeling in Bali. It seems that everything runs slower and harmonious, or Asian culture is what gives me this sense of peace, but Bali is really great to get away from the rush. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Barcelona Photo Diary (Part I)

Barcelona es una de esas ciudades que atrae por su personalidad y diversidad. A mí desde luego me apasiona. Si me preguntaran qué es lo que más me gusta de Barcelona no se por qué aspecto me decidiría: tal vez por la atmósfera mágica de su barrio gótico, el diseño puntero de sus locales, la belleza en los detalles de sus edificios modernistas o el paseo obligado por el barrio del Born. Aunque he estado varias veces nunca me canso de Barcelona. Esta vez sólo estuvimos apenas 2 días, pero me queda su embrujo en el recuerdo.

Barcelona is one of those cities that attracts by its personality and diversity. I´m in love with BCN. If you ask me what I love more about this city I don´t know what I´ll choose: maybe the magic atmosphere of its Gothic Quarter, the top design of its shops and restaurants, the beauty in the details of its modernist buildings or walking through the Born neighbourhood; a must. Although I´ve been there several times I never get tired of Barcelona. This time we were only there a couple of days but I still remember its spell.

Bali Photo Diary (Part II)

¿Os acordáis de cuando escribía sobre Colombia y os contaba que para mí un cachito del paraíso estaba allí? Pues bueno, después de pasar apenas una semana en Bali me doy cuenta de que otro pedacito de paraíso reside precisamente aquí; en Bali. Se dan las condiciones para que sea un lugar mágico, entre bailarinas de Barong, pescadores y clima tropical. Como siempre, os dejo algunas imágenes; espero que las disfrutéis mucho. 

Do you remember when I wrote that for me a part of Paradise is in Colombia? Well, after spending just a week in Bali I realize that another piece of paradise lies precisely here; in Bali. This island is a magical place, between Barong dancers, fishermen and a tropical climate. Here are some of my pictures. I hope you enjoy them a lot.

Bali Photo Diary (Part I)

Cuando mi familia me propuso ir a Bali por vacaciones no lo dudé ni por un segundo. ¿Bali? SI. Para mí representaba todo el exotismo del sudeste asiático unido a la belleza de los templos hindúes y playas paradisíacas. Pero es mucho más que eso: los campos de arroz te absorben y no quieres parar de hacer fotos, su danza y música tradicional te atrapan desde el minuto uno, la gente siempre anda sonriendo a pesar de la pobreza que domina la isla. Y todo lleno de muchísimo color. Es la primera vez que piso Asia y ya estoy deseando volver.

When my family asked me to go to Bali on holidays I didn´t hesitate for a second. ¿Bali? YES. For me, Bali represented the exoticism of Southeast Asian attached to the beauty of Hindu temples and beautiful beaches. But Bali is much more than that: the rice fields will mesmerize you and you won´t be able to stop taking pictures, its traditional dance and music will captivate you all along, people will always smile at you despite the poverty that dominates the island. And all it´s filled with so much colour. It was my first time in Asia and I´m already looking forward to coming back.

Hola a todos! Este es el último post sobre Colombia. Aprovecho para comentaros que si queréis más información sobre las fotos y los lugares podéis visitar mi perfil en Pinterest. Por cierto, me habéis preguntado muchas acerca del bikini que os enseñé en el primer post sobre Colombia. Lo compré en Cartagena, se trata de una diseñadora colombiana que elabora sus prendas a mano con especial mimo y eso se nota en el acabado de sus prendas de baño. Ya conocía su web antes de viajar (os dejo el link aquí) y como podéis imaginar cuando entré en la tienda no podía decidirme, todos los modelos son extraordinarios. Al final me decidí por este. Hi everyone! This is the last post about Colombia. I take the opportunity to mention my Pinterest profile if you´re looking for more information about these pictures. By the way, many of you have asked me about the swimwear I showed in the first post about Colombia. I bought it in Cartagena. She´s a Colombian designer who creates handmade garments with special care and it shows in the finish of her swimwear. I knew her website before my trip (I leave you the link here) and as you can imagine when I walked in the store I couldn´t decide, all models are extraordinary. In the end, I chose this one. Colombia Photo Diary (part III)

Hoy os quería mostrar la tercera parte de mi viaje por Colombia. Supongo que muchos estaréis un poco cansados de tanto post viajero (y os pido disculpas), pero es que realmente he quedado enamorada de este maravilloso país y me hace mucha ilusión poder compartir con vosotros estas imágenes. Como me lo estáis preguntando mucho os resumo la ruta que recorrimos a grandes rasgos: Bogotá - eje Cafetero (Salento, Valle de Cocora y fincas cafeteras) - Costa Caribe (Cartagena de Indias, Islas del Rosario e Isla Barú) - Sierra de Santa Marta (parque natural Tayrona) - San Gil - Barichara. Espero que las fotos sirvan para transmitiros un poco mi entusiasmo por este hermoso rincón del mundo.

Today, I wanted to show you the third part of my trip around Colombia. I suppose you must be a little tired of so many traveller posts (and I must apologize about that). But I really fell in love with this amazing country and I´m thrilled to share with you these images. Because you asked me a lot about our route, I´m going to summarize it roughly: Bogotá - Coffee Region (Salento, Cocora Valley and Coffee farms) - Caribbean Coast (Cartagena de Indias, Rosario Islands and Barú Island) - Santa Marta Mountains (Tayrona National Park) - San Gil - Barichara. I hope the pictures serve to convey you my enthusiasm for this beautiful corner of the world.

South of Chile Photo Diary (part II)

Continuamos con mi viaje al Sur. La Región de los Lagos lleva ese nombre precisamente por la inmensa cantidad de lagos que existen en la zona, con aguas transparentes y rodeados de montañas. Uno de los pasatiempos más comunes de la gente aquí es hacer kayak o dar un paseo en barca por alguna de sus aguas, así que nosotros hicimos lo propio y nos subimos a una barca para poder fotografiar de cerca los palafitos. Espero que os gusten las fotos :)

Here continues my journey around the South of Chile. The Región de los Lagos has its name precisely by the vast number of lakes that exist in the area, great bodies of crystal clear water surrounded by mountains. One of the most common activities here is to go kayaking or to take a boat ride on one of its lakes, so we did the last and got on a boat to photograph closely the pile dwellings . I hope you like the pictures :)

South of Chile Photo Diary (part I)

Hola a todos! ¿qué tal habéis pasado el fin de semana? El mío ha sido maravilloso. Unos amigos y yo nos juntamos para viajar el Sur de Chile. Alquilamos coche y nos adentramos en la mágica y tradicional isla de Chiloé, donde lo más característico son los palafitos: viviendas de pescadores construidas sobre pilotes en el agua. El look que os traigo hoy es el que utilicé para ir a tomar té a una preciosa casa en medio de un campo de lavanda. Muy sencillo y cómodo para viajar tranquila y con una maleta lo más reducida posible. Hi everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was wonderful. Some friends and I took a trip to the South of Chile. We rented a car and entered into the magical and traditional Chiloé island, where the most characteristic thing are the pile-dwelling: fishermen houses built on stilts in the water. The outfit I show you today is what I wore to go to a lovely tea house in the middle of a lavender field. It´s very simple and convenient for traveling with a suitcase as small as possible. New Year' s Eve at the seaside

Este año es el primer año que estoy fuera de España para las fiestas y, teniendo en cuenta que en Sudamérica es ahora verano, no se me ocurrió mejor manera de celebrar el año nuevo que en la playa. Por eso hicimos las maletas y nos fuimos a la costa: Viña del Mar, Concón y Valparaíso fueron nuestro destino. Pasamos unos días estupendos, rodeados de mar, pescado de la región y sol, mucho sol. Y como colofón final para la noche del 31 de Diciembre nos lanzamos al mar en un bote para ver los fuegos artificiales desde el agua. Y vosotros ¿cómo lo pasasteis? Aprovecho el post para desearos un año estupendo :)

This year was the first one I've been out of Spain for the holidays and, considering it´s Summer in South America, I couldn´t think of a better place to celebrate the new year than the beach. So we packed up and went to the coast: Viña del Mar, Concón and Valparaíso were our destiny. We spent a lovely few days, surrounded by the sea, fish of the region and sun, a lot of sun. And as a climax on New Year´s Eve we jumped on a boat to see the fireworks from the sea. And you, what did you do these days? I´ll also take advantage of the post to wish you all a wonderful year :)

Valparaiso Photo Diary

Este fin de semana nos fuimos de viaje a Valparaíso, una pequeña ciudad de pescadores cerca de Santiago, donde las casas se amontonan contra el terreno formando un sin fin de niveles. Lleno de colorido y mucho encanto, ha sido el lugar perfecto para desconectar de la rutina. Opté por un outfit lo más cómodo y sencillo posible, ya que sabía que íbamos a estar caminando todo el tiempo. Por eso el outfit es un outfit viajero, sin mucho interés, aunque sí que quería mostraros las fotos para los que no conozcáis este precioso rincón de Chile. This weekend we took a trip to Valparaiso, a small fishing town near Santiago, where the houses are stacked against the ground forming a myriad of levels. Full of color and charm, Valparaiso has been the perfect place to get away from the daily routine. I chose an outfit as comfortable and simple as possible because I knew we were going to be walking all the time. So it´s an informal outfit without much interest, although I wanted to show you the pictures of this beautiful corner of Chile. Happy week and thanks for all your comments!
