Algarabía

Acaba de terminar la feria de Sevilla y, aprovechando que la semana pasada os enseñaba algunas de mis fotografías de Andalucía, os quería enseñar lo que llevé este año a la feria. El vestido de flamenca favorece a todas las mujeres, realza nuestras curvas y sus volantes enaltecen el movimiento y el baile. El mío se llama Algarabía y lo diseñé yo; sabía que esta vez quería un vestido sencillo y con las mangas largas (muy, muy largas). Para acompañarlo, simplemente unos pendientes plateados y una flor en el pelo. Ya me contaréis qué os parece. Mil besos.

Seville Fair´s just finished and, taking advantage of last week post about my Andalucía pictures, I wanted to show what I wore this year to the Fair. The flamenco dress suits all women, enhances our curves and exalts movement and dance. I called mine Algarabía and it was designed by me; I wanted a simple, with long sleeves (very long sleeves) dress this time. And to go with it, just a pair of silver earrings and a flower on her hair. Tell me what you think. X.O.X.O.

South of Spain Photo Diary (part I)

Hola a tod@s! Hoy os traigo un post que me hace especial ilusión. Llevo un tiempo recopilando imágenes de mis paseos por Andalucía y, aunque me queda muchísimo por fotografiar, quería empezar por mostraros algunas fotos de mis viajes. Para aquellos que seáis de fuera, además, me encantaría mostraros mi región para que la conozcáis un poquito mejor. Para mí, Andalucía son macetas con geranios, pueblecitos blancos y tapas, muchas tapas. Como siempre, espero que disfrutéis las fotos :)

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to show you a special post. I´ve been collecting images of my trips around Andalusia and, although I still have much to photograph, I wanted to start showing you some pictures of my trips. For those who live out of Spain I would love to show you my region and this way you can know it better. For me, Andalusia is potted geraniums, white villages and tapas, many tapas. As always, I hope you enjoy the photos :)

Spring pastels

Últimamente estoy enganchada a los tonos pastel. Son colores que no compiten por llamar la atención, al contrario, son muy sutiles, y se pueden combinar de mil maneras diferentes, dando como resultado un outfit muy femenino y dulce. La manera perfecta de entrar en la primavera :)

I´ve been captivated by pastel tones lately. These colours don´t compete for attention, on the contrary, they´re very subtle and can be combined in a thousand different ways, resulting in a very feminine and sweet outfit. The perfect way to get into Spring :)

HOW TO WEAR: Stripes

En la sección de HOW TO WEAR de hoy quería hablaros de las rayas. Aunque a veces arriesgo y me  gusta mezclar estampados (podéis ver un ejemplo aquí), por regla general suelo combinar estampados de rayas con otras prendas lisas. Este es el caso de los tres ejemplos que os traigo hoy. Combinar rayas con un color neutro como el negro o el blanco siempre suele dar buen resultado. Podemos ver en el primer ejemplo como para este outfit de rayas marineras elegí una falda en blanco y el resto de complementos en rojo para darle más fuerza al look. El segundo ejemplo va un poco en la misma línea, combinando el estampado de rayas con colores en los mismos tonos. Combinar tops de rayas es muy sencillo si seguimos esta idea. Un poco más complicado es combinar otro tipo de prendas, como los pantalones de rayas, como en el tercer ejemplo. Aquí yo opté por un jersey con un tono verde bosque, que no resalte demasiado, porque ya el pantalón es suficientemente llamativo. Es curioso, pero el color del jersey que elegí no coincide con ninguno de los colores que hay en el pantalón, y aún así me parece que queda bien. Sin embargo, quizás mi primera opción hubiera sido combinarlo con alguna prenda básica, como un jersey o camisa blanca. Y nada más, como siempre, espero que os sirvan estas ideas :) Besos!

In today´s HOW TO WEAR section I wanted to speak about stripes. Although sometimes I love to risk and mix prints (you can see an example here), in general, I usually combine stripes with solid colours. This is the case of today´s examples. Combining stripes with a neutral colour like black or white gives good results normally. In the first example, I combined sailor stripes with a white skirt and all the accessories in red to make the outfit more interesting. The second example is something similar. I combined stripes with some colour in the same tone. Combining striped printed tops is very easy if you follow this idea but it´s a little more complicated if you´re wearing printed trousers like in the third example. I chose a dark green sweater in order not to recharge the outfit, because these jeans are already flashy enough. It´s curious, but the colour I chose doesn´t match with none of the colours on the pants, however I think it looks good. Anyway, maybe my first option had been to combine it with a basic garment, like a white shirt or sweater. And that´s all. As always, I hope these ideas serve to you :) XOXO

Keep it simple

Muchas veces, es increíble como un complemento puede darle vida a un look completo. Me costó mucho encontrar el sombrero de fieltro perfecto para mí, pero finalmente conseguí este, y la verdad es que me está sacando de muchos apuros en atuendos sencillos como este que os enseño hoy. Creedme si os digo que el look sin el sombrero no es lo mismo. Feliz fin de semana!!!

It's amazing how many times an accessory can bring to life an otherwise completely normal outfit. It was hard to find the perfect hat for me, but I finally got it, and the truth is that it bails me out with simple looks like the one I´m showing you today. Believe me when I say that the look without the hat is not the same. Happy weekend!!!

Feeling blue

Los que me seguís por el blog ya sabéis que me encanta el azul klein. Siento que favorece muchísimo, y es fácil de combinar con multitud de colores para crear efectos muy resultones, como el amarillo, el verde, o como en este caso, el rosa. Me gusta el toque que le da este tono a un look principalmente monocromo y especialmente los tacones, como imitando a piel de serpiente pero en color rosa, una pasada!

Those who have been following me a long time know that I love klein blue. I think that works very well, and it´s easy to combine with a multitude of colours to create very jazzy effects, such as yellow, green, or in this case; pink. I like the touch that gives this tone to a mainly monochrome look and especially the heels, as imitation snakeskin but in pink, cool!
